Churchill Serves as Joint Lead Arranger for a Senior Secured Credit Facility to Support Kohlberg & Company’s Acquisition of Orthopedic & Neurosurgery Specialists

New York, NY, August 30, 2019 – Churchill Asset Management (“Churchill”) today announced that it served as Joint Lead Arranger for a senior secured credit facility to support the acquisition of Orthopedic & Neurosurgery Specialists (“ONS”) by Kohlberg & Company, LLC (“Kohlberg”). Antares Capital served as Administrative Agent and Joint Lead Arranger for the facility.

With offices in Greenwich and Stamford, Connecticut and Harrison, NY, ONS is a leading multi-specialty orthopedic and neurosurgery group practice, integrated with a full suite of ancillary services and an outpatient surgical facility.

“ONS distinguishes itself in a highly fragmented industry through its comprehensive range of capabilities, state-of-the-art facilities and unwavering focus on quality. However, it’s the company’s top-tier, sub-specialty trained physicians that directly lead to its exceptional patient care and clinical outcomes,” said Randy Schwimmer, Senior Managing Director and Head of Origination & Capital Markets at Churchill. “We look forward to supporting the company and our longstanding partner, Kohlberg, over the life of the investment.”

The financing represents the seventh transaction that the Churchill platform has completed in support of Kohlberg. Kohlberg is a leading Mount Kisco, NY-based private equity firm that has completed 76 platform investments and nearly 200 add-on acquisitions, with an aggregate transaction value of over $15 billion since inception.

“Consistent with our previous transactions together, Churchill proved to be a flexible and reliable financing partner throughout the transaction process and always acted quickly and decisively,” said Ahmed Wahla, Partner at Kohlberg & Company, adding, “We look forward to continuing our relationship with the Churchill team.”
