Lucas is a Managing Director at Churchill and a member of the Junior Capital & Private Equity Solutions (PEJC) investment team. He is responsible for sourcing and executing primary, equity-co-invest and junior capital transactions across the PEJC platform, while serving as portfolio manager for the firm’s primary private equity fund strategy.

Prior to Churchill, Lucas was on the PEJC team at the firm’s parent company, Nuveen, since 2017, and was previously an Associate on Nuveen’s real asset private equity team focused on North American infrastructure and energy investments. Lucas began his career in TIAA Investment Management group focused on Private Markets, holding investment roles including investment grade private placements, project finance, and energy and infrastructure private equity.

Lucas graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School.  In 2025, Lucas was named an Emerging Leader by M&A Advisor. He is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute.
