Matthew is a Principal, Business Development at Nuveen Private Capital, which comprises U.S. and European asset managers Churchill and Arcmont. In his role, he is focused on investor coverage and fundraising initiatives, partnering with institutional investors across Canada, and the U.S. Midwest and East to develop tailored private equity solutions to meet their needs.

Prior to joining Churchill in 2023, Matt spent two years as the Director of Private Equity Investor Relations at Black Diamond Capital Management. In this capacity, Matt was responsible for all aspects of Black Diamond’s private equity investor relations efforts.

Previously, Matt spent nine years at The Carlyle Group focused on investor relations and fundraising activities in the United States. At Carlyle, Matt was actively involved in relationship management, product development, fund formation, and marketing strategy across the firm’s investment platform.

Matt graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business with a B.S. in Finance. He currently holds his Series 7 and 63 licenses.
