Matthew Battle is a Principal, Investment Strategist at Churchill Asset Management. In this role, Matt is responsible for investor coverage and new capital formation across the firm’s private equity and private credit strategies including co-investment, secondaries, structured capital, and senior and junior lending. Matt works closely with Nuveen’s global distribution team to deepen and expand Churchill’s investor relationships.

Prior to his current role, Matt spent two years as the Director of Private Equity Investor Relations at Black Diamond Capital Management. In this capacity, Matt was responsible for all aspects of Black Diamond’s private equity investor relations efforts.

Prior to that, Matt spent nine years at The Carlyle Group focused on investor relations and fundraising activities in the United States. At Carlyle, Matt was actively involved in relationship management, product development, fund formation, and marketing strategy across the firm’s investment platform.

Matt received his B.S. in Finance (Summa Cum Laude) from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. He maintains Series 7 and 63 licenses.
